Overview[]

The City of Yonkers Fire Department has an ISO Class 1 rating and protects a population of approximately 212,000 residents over an area of about 20 square miles. It is located just north of the New York City borough of the Bronx.

The Yonkers Fire Department (YFD) is the fourth largest fire department in the US State of New York with around 400 firefighters. Operating from 12 stations it is currently comprised of the following units:
