Area Served[]

The Woodside Fire Protection District provides fire protection and emergency medical services for the incorporated towns of Woodside and Portola Valley, as well as for the unincorporated residential communities of Emerald Hills, Kings Mountain, Ladera, and Los Trancos Woods/Vista Verde, all located on the San Francisco Peninsula, midway between the cities of San Jose and San Francisco, in southern San Mateo County, Northern California. The district has a population of approximately 25,000 and encompasses an area covering 32 square miles.

Mutual Aid[]

The Woodside Fire Protection District has mutual aid agreements with, among others, the CAL FIRE San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit, the Central County Fire Department (California), the Kings Mountain Fire Department, the La Honda Fire Brigade, the North County Fire Authority (San Mateo County, California), the Redwood City Fire Department, the San Bruno Fire Department, the San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department, the South San Francisco Fire Department, the Marin County Fire Department, the CAL FIRE Santa Clara Unit, and the CAL FIRE Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit.
