History[]
Woodmoor-Monument FPD began as Monument Volunteer Fire Department in the late 1930s. In the 1970s the department was re-organized as a career department and the name was changed to Woodmoor-Monument Fire Protection District in 1972. The department was merged with Tri-Lakes Fire Protection District and formed a Regional Fire Authority on January 1, 2005. Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Protection District was formed in 2008.
