The Whitewater Region FD employs a part-time chief and deputy chief, as well as over 70 volunteer/paid-on-call firefighters from five stations.
History[]
Whitewater Region was formed in 2001 through amalgamation of two villages and two townships. Four fire departments were merged to form the new fire service:
- Beachburg Fire Department
- Cobden Fire Department
- Ross Township Fire Department
- Westmeath Township Fire Department
