Area Served[]

Whitchurch-Stouffville is a town located north of Markham in York Region, Ontario, Canada. According to the 2021 Canada census, Whitchurch-Stouffville is home to almost 50,000 people spread out over 206.74 square kilometres. The municipality was formed in 1971 through the amalgamation of the Village of Stouffville and the Township of Whitchurch upon the formation of York Region.

The town purchases fire protection from Central York Fire Services for the western portion of the municipality.

The fire department is a composite operation, with 35 full-time firefighters, 4 full-time fire prevention officers and 41 part-time/volunteer firefighters operating from two stations.

Future Plans[]

The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffvile and Region of York called prequalification contractor tenders for the construction of a new fire / EMS station in October 2024. The 5-bay (3 fire, 2 EMS) building will be located on a lot at 4902 Aurora Road in Ballantrae and will replace the existing Station 52.
