The West Klickitat Regional Fire Authority is a Regional Fire Authority (RFA) formed under RCW Chapter 52.26, composed of the participating jurisdictions of Klickitat County Fire Protection District No. 3 and the City of White Salmon. It is an independent municipal corporation and political subdivision of the State of Washington that provides fire protection and emergency medical services to those participating jurisdictions.
History[]
On November 7, 2023, voters approved the merger of Klickitat County Fire Protection District No. 3 and the City of White Salmon with a combined 1,374 "yes" votes and 823 "no" votes.[1] The West Klickitat Regional Fire Authority was formed on January 1, 2025.
