Overview[]

The Waukee Fire and EMS Department (WFEMS) provides fire suppression, rescue and emergency medical services for the City of Waukee and a large portion of rural and unincorporated Dallas County, including the community of Booneville. Staffing with both full-time and part-time members, WFEMS responds to roughly 1,700 calls annually.

Future Plans[]

As of summer 2021, the Waukee Fire and EMS Department has begun plans to construct a second fire station (#92) in the growing northwestern section of the city. The station will be built at the intersection of Douglas Parkway & T Avenue and is expected to be in service by 2025.
