Travis County Fire Rescue is provided funding by both Travis County Emergency Services District 11 (Sales Tax) and District 15 (Property Tax). District 15 follows the same boundaries as District 11. This duplication is due to Texas legislation which allows an ESD to only collect revenue from one source.
In 2018, Travis County Fire Rescue contracted with Caldwell Hays County Emergency Services District No. 1 to supply career staff and management. The Caldwell Hays ESD stations were re-numbered as TCFR Station 1107 and 1108. [1]
EMS is provided by Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS), an agency of the City of Austin.
