History[]
The Blue Mountains Fire-Rescue was formed through the creation of the Town of Blue Mountains in 2001. The fire department was an amalgamation of the Town of Thornbury Fire Department and Collingwood Township Fire Department (not to be confused with the Collingwood Fire Department).

Future Plans[]
In February 2025, the Town of the Blue Mountains called for prequalification bids for a replacement Station 2 in Craigleith. The new 1600 square metre building will be located at 796511 Grey Road 19.
