History[]

Storrington Township formed a volunteer fire department in the mid-1970s. Prior to that, fire protection was purchased from Kingston Township Fire Department.

In 1998, Storrington Township was amalgamated with 3 other departments to create South Frontenac Township Fire Department.

1 3910 Battersea Road, Sunbury 1977-1998 (amalgamation) Built as public works garage, year when converted to fire station unknown. Became South Frontenac Station 8, closed in 2023.
2 3516 Latimer Road, Inverary 1990-1998 (amalgamation) Built as milk tanker shed. Converted to fire station before 1998, exact year unknown. Now South Frontenac Station 7.
3 5038 Carrying Place Road, Burnt Hills 1983-1998 (amalgamation) Built as garage. Converted to fire station, year unknown. Became South Frontenac Station 9, closed in 2019.
