Future Plans[]
- The city is planning to replace the aging Fire Station 1 with a new headquarters/training/prevention facility in the downtown area. City council members have considered the Garden City Arena at 8 Gale Crescent as a potential site for relocation. Fire Stations 2 and 3 are also slated for replacement.
- Fire suppression crews from Station 2 will be temporarily relocated to the old Port Dalhousie fire hall on Brock Street during the demolition and rebuild of their existing station on Linwell Road.
