Springwater Township Fire and Emergency Services (Ontario)

History

Springwater Township was formed in 1994. The fire department was created through the amalgamation of the Elmvale-Flos Fire Department and the Vespra Township Fire Department. The new municipality also included a portion of Medonte Township and took over the Hillsdale station of the Medonte Township Fire Department.

Future Plans

Design / construction tenders were called for the construction of a new fire station in Midhurst in January 2023 based on a prequalification bid request in May 2022. The four-bay, approximately 13,000 square foot building will be located at 1132 Snow Valley Road, near Highway 26.
