Service Area

Spokane Valley Fire Department currently serves a 75 square mile repones area the includes Cities of Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Millwood, SVFD also serves the surrounding parts of Spokane County, including unincorporated areas of Otis Orchards, Pasadena Park, and Greenacres. The combined population of these cities and areas is currently 143,130.

History

Spokane County Fire Protection District No. 1 was formed in 1940. In 2007, the district rebranded itself as Spokane Valley Fire Department. As of 2022, SVFD's call volume was 23,225 calls a year.
