The Southside Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency response services to the Southside fire district, located just south of Albemarle, NC. The department is Station 60 in Stanly County numbering system.
History[]
The Southside Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1958. They operated out of a station at 37348 Southside Road in Albemarle until their current station was opened in 2006. Southside VFD still owns the original station.
