Department Profile[]
The Southington FD is a combination department serving the town of Southington, a suburban community located between Hartford, New Haven, and Waterbury. Their response area is mainly residential, with large swaths of forested land (including the Ragged Mountain Nature Preserve, the site of several brush fires & technical rescues each year), and the busy Route 10 commercial corridor; as well as a portion of Interstates 84 & 691.
