History[]
Raleigh Township was located west and south of the City of Chatham, and was divided into two fire departments, each with its own chief. South Raleigh's fire hall was located near the community of Dealtown.
Raleigh was amalgamated with the other municipalities of Kent County to form Chatham-Kent in 1998. The fire department became part of Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services.
