The SkyArm was an articulating aerial device introduced by Pierre Thibault in the late 1980s. After Thibault's 1990 bankruptcy, the SkyArm design became the property of NovaQuintech Corporation, who manufactured it for Canadian and US fire departments. It was available on trucks built by NovaQuintech and also sold to other builders. In 1997, NovaQuintech ceased operations and sold the designs to Pierce Manufacturing, which offered the SkyArm as part of its product line until 2012. Unlike a Snorkel device, which is boom based, the SkyArm is ladder based, with the first fly section being articulated.
