Sidney Fire Rescue (British Columbia)

History[]

The agency was first organized in 1914 and then reformed in 1953 as the Sidney & North Saanich Fire Department. It was reformed again in 1971 as Sidney Volunteer Fire Department.

Sidney Fire Rescue is a composite career/volunteer department protecting an area of 5.10 square kilometres with seven career staff and 35 volunteers.
