History[]

On 1 January 2002, Brossard and seven other South Shore municipalities merged to form an expanded Ville de Longueuil. The fire department became part of Service de Sécurité Incendie Longueuil. Brossard was de-amalgamated and became an independent city in 2006, but the fire department remained the same.
