History[]
The Regional Municipality of Tracadie was formed in 2014 through a municipal restructuring process of the former Town of Tracadie-Sheila, eighteen local service districts and portions of two other local service districts. The fire service is an amalgamation of the Service de Sécurité Incendie Tracadie-Sheila and Service de Sécurité Incendie Rivière-du-Portage / Tracadie Beach.
Tracadie is the first and only Regional Municipality in New Brunswick.
