The Capitol is a full-tilt custom chassis built by Seagrave Fire Apparatus.
History & Overview[]
It was introduced at the Fire Department Instructor's Conference (FDIC) 2018. The first Capitol units were originally designed & built for the District of Columbia Fire & Emergency Medical Services (giving the model its' namesake). The Capitol is similar in appearance to Seagrave's other chassis, the Marauder, but features a driver's side air intake/grille vent and smaller windows between the front & rear doors; as well as many improved safety, maintenance, personnel use & comfort features (along with a higher cab roof, lower cab floor, and wider doors).
