History[]
Oakland Township was a municipality in southern Brant County, and Scotland its largest community. The Scotland Fire Area also covered parts of Delhi Township and Nanticoke in nearby Norfolk County.
In 1999, all of the municipalities of Brant County amalgamated to form a new municipality and the Scotland force became part of the Brant County Fire Department.
