Overview[]

The Richfield-Misenheimer Fire Department provides emergency services to a primary response district of approximately thirty three square miles that includes areas within Stanly, Cabarrus and Rowan Counties as well as the municipalities of The Village of Misenheimer and Town of Richfield. The department was incorporated as a nonprofit organization in December of 1955. The department operates out of one station in Richfield (Rowan County Station 39/Stanley County Station 22) with approximately thirty volunteers, supplemented by paid part time staff to help cover incident response during the weekdays.
