The Red Bank Fire Department is an all volunteer organization that protects a population of approximately 13,000 residents in an area of about 2 square miles. Red Bank is located on the Navesink River in northern Monmouth County.
History[]
Navesink Hook & Ladder Company was formed in 1872, Relief Engine Company was formed in 1880. Independent Engine Company was formed in 1880, Liberty Hose Company was formed in 1880, Union Hose Company was formed in 1890, Red Bank Fire Department was formed in 1892. Westside Hose Company was formed in 1909. In addition it has a Fire Police unit that dates back to 1886 and a Scuba/Dive Team that was organized in the 1950's.
