History[]
The Lafayette Fire Company No. 1 was formed in 1847 and later disbanded when the Washington Fire Company No. 1 was formed. They reorganized and incorporated as The Relief Hose Company No. 2 in 1870. It is also known as the Raritan Fire Department.
