The Régie intermunicipale des incendies de la Chaudière-Etchemin was created in 1993 with the amalgation of the following departments :
It was amalgamated with the Service de Sécurité Incendie de Lévis on January 1st 2002, when the four towns amalgamated along with five other towns with the city of Lévis.
