Placer Fire Equipment was an American fire apparatus manufacturer that specialized in wildland fire equipment and water tenders. The company was established in 2002 on the grounds of the decommissioned Mather Air Force Base in Rancho Cordova, California.
The company received contracts to build wildland fire engines for Cal OES and CAL FIRE. It also built crew trucks for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
It had been awarded a contract to build crew trucks for the U.S. Forest Service in 2009, but the vehicles were not delivered. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2010.
