History[]
Located in Pine Falls, Manitoba, the Pine Falls Paper Mill was a newsprint production facility. The mill was owned by various companies through its existence, but mainly by Abitibi Paper. Abitibi also owned the adjoining company town of Pine Falls. In 1998, the mill was sold to Tembec and Pine Falls became part of the Municipality of Powerview-Pine Falls in 2005. The mill closed in 2009.
