The Pass Lake Volunteer Fire Team protects a municipally-unorganized area east of Shuniah Township near Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. Funding and equipment are provided through the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management (OFMEM) and local fundraising.
