Mutual Aid[]

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue has a mutual aid agreement with, among others, the Jupiter Fire Rescue Department, the North Palm Beach Fire Rescue Department, Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue, Tequesta Fire Rescue, West Palm Beach Fire Rescue, with Martin County Fire Rescue (Florida) in neighboring Martin County, with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue in neighboring Broward County, and with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue in neighboring Miami-Dade County.

History[]

Several county fire departments were absorbed by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue between 1997 and 2009:

Lantana Fire Department in 1997;
Royal Palm Beach Fire Department in 1999;
Lake Park Fire Department in 2002;
Belle Glade Fire Department in 2006;
Pahokee Fire Department in 2006;
South Bay Fire Department in 2006;
Lake Worth Beach Fire Department in 2009; and
Palm Springs Fire Department in 2009.^[1] ^[2]
