The PGDP in Paducah, KY was a gaseous diffusion facility that produced enriched uranium from 1952–2013. The plant is owned by the US Department of Energy and was operated by Union Carbide from 1952 to 1984, Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin from 1984 to 1999 and US Enrichment Corp from 1999 to 2013. The facility is now the subject of DOE supervised environmental cleanup, waste management, depleted uranium conversion, deactivation and decommissioning. Operation is contracted to the Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, made up of Fluor Corp. and BWX Technologies.
