PL Custom Emergency Vehicles is an American ambulance manufacturer located in Manasquan, New Jersey.

PL Custom[]
PL Custom Body was originally formed in 1946 in Pompton Lakes, NJ; and was acquired by the Smock family in 1970. The Smock family renamed the company PL Custom Emergency Vehicles. The company is still family-owned, and produces approximately 175 vehicles per year.
Rescue 1[]
Rescue 1 was founded in 1985 as a division of PL. It builds rescue vehicles for departments mainly in the northeastern US.
