The Ottawa Truck Corporation was incorporated in 1958 in Ottawa, Kansas. It was a producer of custom fire apparatus chassis, as well as terminal tractors. Ottawa purchased Beck Fire Apparatus in 1990, then in 1993 was itself in turn purchased by the Finnish company Sisu Terminal Systems. Ottawa ceased production of fire apparatus chassis in 1992, while continuing production of its series of terminal tractors. It is now named Kalmar Ottawa, and after another round of acquisitions and mergers by parent Partek Corporation, is now the largest producer of terminal tractors in North America.
