Overview[]
The Old Lyme Fire Department is a volunteer fire department serving the coastal community of Old Lyme, Connecticut. Noted for being an artist's colony and home to a large expanse of summer homes on the beaches of Long Island Sound, the department also covers approximately four-and-a-half miles of the Connecticut Turnpike, along with the former Lyme Academy of Fine Arts (now affiliated with the University of New Haven).

The South Lyme Fire Department merged with Old Lyme in 1990.
