History[]
The Northville FD was formed in the mid-1990s to provide better fire protection for the Port Franks and Pinery areas. Bosanquet Township, of which Port Franks was part, was amalgamated with several other area municipalities to form Lambton Shores in 2001. The fire departments in Lambton Shores continued to operate independently for several years, but the Northville FD became part of Lambton Shores Fire & Emergency Services when a new chief for the municipality was hired in 2018.
