Area Served

North Middlesex had a population of 6,700 in 2011 over an area of 598 km². Predominantly rural, the largest communities are Parkhill and Ailsa Craig.

Portions of the municipality receive fire protection from the Lucan Biddulph Fire Department and Arkona Fire Department.

History

North Middlesex was created in 2001 through an amalgamation of the Town of Parkhill, Village of Ailsa Craig, Township of East Williams, Township of McGillivary and Township of West Williams.

The Parkhill Fire Department and Ailsa Craig Fire Department were combined to create the new fire service.
