North Hastings Fire Service was formed in 2013 when the Town of Bancroft and Municipality of Hastings Highlands decided to form a joint fire administration, effectively joining the Bancroft Fire Department and Hastings Highlands Fire Department.
Effective 27 June 2018 the Council of the Municipality of Hastings Highlands decided to sever the Joint Fire Services Agreement with the Town of Bancroft.[1]
