North County Fire & EMS (Washington)

History

In 2006, Snohomish County Fire District No. 14 and Snohomish County Fire District No. 18 consolidated staff and equipment under the North County Fire & EMS name. On May 15, 2007, voters approved the merger of the 2 districts as a Regional Fire Authority (RFA) with a combined 2,617 "yes" votes and 739 "no" votes. The authority was formed on January 1, 2008. Though formed as an RFA, the North County Fire & EMS name was retained.

On February 9, 2021, voters approved the annexation of the City of Arlington into North County Fire with 2,982 "yes" votes and 356 "no" votes.
