Spokane County Fire District 13 operates as Newman Lake Fire & Rescue.

History[]

Newman Lake Fire & Rescue was dissolved in 1958 and Spokane County Fire District 13 was officially formed. District 13 currently has around 40 members and is serving 23 square miles around the Newman Lake area. The District has two full-time firefighters (Fire Chief and a Captain). Newman Lake has a population of approximately 5,000.
