History[]

Neebing Township was incorporated in 1881, encompassing the geographic townships of Neebing, Neebing Additional, Blake, Crooks and Pardee. Much of the geographic township of Neebing and all of Neebing Additional was annexed to the City of Fort William in 1892 and the remaining portion of the geographic township of Neebing became part of the City of Thunder Bay upon its formation in 1970, leaving only the name. In 1999, the unorganized townships of Pearson and Scoble were added to Neebing, adding the Pearson Fire Protection Team and the Scoble Fire Protection Team to the Neebing FD.
