Department Profile[]

The Mount Holly Fire Department provides fire protection and first responders services for the City of Mount Holly, NC.  Operating from three stations, they cover approximately 11 square miles and serve 15,000 citizens.  The department averages approximately 2,000 fire and medical calls annually.  They have an ISO Rating of 2.

History[]

The Catawba Heights Volunteer Fire Department, formed in 1954, was merged with the MHFD in 2000. The area covered by Catawba Heights had been annexed by Mount Holly in 1989, but the volunteer department covered the area for several years after.
