Metalfab Ltd., or Metalfab Fire Trucks, is a Canadian fire truck manufacturer located in Centreville, New Brunswick.

History[]

Formed as a machine shop in 1967, Metalfab built its first fire truck for Centreville in 1968. The company built a few tankers during the 1970s before entering fire truck manufacture in earnest in 1977. Since then, they have built hundreds of trucks for fire departments in eastern/central Canada and parts of the US, mostly northern New England and New York.

Metalfab announced a partnership with Safetek Group in 2019. Safetek serves as a dealer for Metalfab in Ontario and Western Canada and Metalfab acts as a service centre for Ferrara Fire Apparatus and Spartan Emergency Response in the Maritimes.

Production[]

Metalfab builds pumpers, tankers and rescue trucks on commercial and custom chassis. Historically, most of their Canadian deliveries have been to departments in Atlantic Canada and Ontario, but have expanded their presence in Western Canada after partnering with Safetek. They have also sold several trucks to fire departments in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
