History[]
The Medora & Wood Township Fire Department operated from four stations with the headquarters in Glen Orchard. In 1971, the township was amalgamated with other area municipalities to form Muskoka Lakes Township. The fire department became part of Muskoka Lakes Fire-Rescue.
