History[]
On July 1, 2020, The Valley of the Moon Fire District - which operated under the name Sonoma Valley Fire & Rescue Authority, joined the Glen Ellen and the Mayacamas fire districts to become the Sonoma Valley Fire Protection District.
In October 2021 the Mayacamas Volunteer Fire Department became the Mayacamas Volunteer Fire Foundation.
