The M-Series was a custom chassis made by the Maxim Motor Company, from 1921 to 1928; when it was replaced by the new Maxim B-Series. It was the larger version of the Maxim C-Series, and differed visually by the fact it had a nickel-plated radiator shell, as opposed to a painted one on the C; with both having distinctive gabled front ends & side-mounted louvered vents.

Production & Specifications[]

The M-Series had a few sub variations (that shared a few common features, like 6-cylinder McFarlan engines and Northern rotary-gear pumps), including:

  • The M1 - 500gpm pump
  • The M2 - 600gpm pump
  • The M3 - 750gpm pump
  • The M6 - tractor for aerial trailers
  • The M66 - Chemical unit with twin tanks
