Not to be confused with the Mack C-Series.
The C-Series was a custom chassis made by the Maxim Motor Company, from 1921 to 1928; when it was replaced by the new Maxim B-Series. It was the smaller version of the Maxim M-Series, and differed visually by the fact it had a painted radiator shell, as opposed to a nickel-plated one on the M; with both having distinctive gabled front ends & side-mounted louvered vents.
Production & Specifications[]
The C-Series had a few sub variations (that shared a few common features, like 4-cylinder Wisconsin engines and Northern rotary-gear pumps), including:
- The C1 - 350gpm pump
- The C2 - 400gpm pump
- The C3 - 450gpm pump
- The CHL - city-service ladder truck
