The A-Series was a truck chassis manufactured by Mack Trucks Inc. between 1914 and 1938. It was later resurrected as a successor to Mack's E-Series in 1950, being produced in that iteration until 1954; when itself was was succeeded by the L-Series.

First Generation (1914-1938)[]

AC Model[]

The Mack AC was a heavy truck designed in the 1910s and introduced in 1916. It was a 2 axle, 2 wheel rear-wheel drive chassis. It was produced in 3 sizes; 3½ long tons (3.6 t), 5½ long tons (5.6 t) and 10½ long tons (7.6 t).

AK Model[]

The Mack AK was a shaft driven version of the AC, produced between 1927 and 1936.

AL Model[]

The Mack AL was a version of the AC model designed specifically for distribution and firefighting operations. This model differed by having a low mounted cabin and low frame height. A total of only 57 such vehicles were made, being produced between 1927 and 1929.

AP Model[]

The Mack AP was a version of the AC with a 6-cylinder engine that was produced between 1926 and 1938. The AP was available in either four or six wheeled versions; the four-wheeler had a payload of 7&frac12 long tons (7.6 t), the six-wheeler a payload of 10 long tons (10 t) in rigid form and 15 long tons (15 t) as an articulated truck.
