History[]

On September 13, 1960, a special election was held to determine if Lewis County Fire Protection District No. 11 should be formed. Voters approved the formation of the district with 82 "yes" votes and 18 "no" votes. The district was officially formed on September 19, 1960.[1]

On January 1, 2004, the Town of Pe Ell began contracting services from Fire District 11, dissolving the Pe Ell Fire Department.[2]
