Les Industries C.P. Morissette Inc. was founded in the early 1980s by Charles Morissette, who was an operations chief for the Service de Sécurité Incendie d'Otterburn Park. The company designed trucks for specialized tasks like military vehicles and trucks for Hydro-Québec.
Approximately 50 trucks (pumpers, tankers, and rescues) were design from 1986 to 1991. The first fire truck was a 1986 International CO1950B pumper for the Service de Sécurité Incendie de Lac-Drolet who was built in partnership with Maxi Métal Inc. which happen to also be the first fire truck for this company as well.
From 1986 to 1989, trucks were built by other companies like Maxi Métal. In 1989, Les Industries C.P. Morissette Inc. actually started to built their own trucks in a plant in Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, Québec. The plant and the company closed in 1991.
After the closure of C.P. Morissette in the early 1990s, Charles Morissette worked for NovaQUINTECH Corporation.
