History[]
Laurentian Valley was created in 2000 through the amalgamation of the Township of Alice & Fraser and the Township of Stafford-Pembroke. Prior to amalgamation, fire services were provided by the Tri-Township Fire Department, which was operated by Stafford-Pembroke with services provided to Alice & Fraser under contract. Before the 1997 creation of Stafford-Pembroke, the fire department was known as the Stafford Township Fire Department.
